Report 02

The 10 questions med spa patients ask AI.

The prompt library we run in every city, unchanged, so a city checked today and the same city checked in 90 days are measured the same way. It has been run in 245 cities.

Published by KKV Labs LLC. $1,000 a month, 3-month minimum as it takes time to show results, named by AI in 90 days or every dollar back.

Short answer

Ten questions, not one. A clinic that is named for best med spa in its city can be missing from the other nine, because each question pulls the answer from a different place.

Price questions are answered from pages that publish a price. Review questions are answered from review platforms. Near me questions are answered from map profiles. Device questions are answered from pages that spell the device name out.

That is why the guarantee is written against 10 agreed questions rather than one. One name in one answer is luck. Five of ten across two tools is a position.

The library

The ten, and what each one is testing.

[city] is the market being checked. The wording never changes between cities or between months, which is what makes two checks comparable.

The AI Visibility Index reports what the first of these ten answered in 198 cities.

  1. 01

    best med spa in [city]

    Testing: Pick me a clinic

The plainest question in the category, and the one an answer engine replies to with a short list of names. If a clinic is in one answer only, this is usually the one.

  2. 02

where to get Botox in [city]

    Testing: Treatment plus place

Names a treatment and a city in the same breath. The answer tends to favour clinics with a page dedicated to that single treatment rather than one services page listing everything.

  3. 03

how much does Botox cost in [city]

    Testing: Price

A price question is answered from pages that actually publish a price or a range. Clinics that hide pricing behind a consultation form are usually left out of the answer even when they are named elsewhere.

  4. 04

best place for lip filler in [city]

    Testing: Treatment plus judgement

Asks for a recommendation on one specific treatment. It rewards depth on a page about that treatment: what it is, who it suits, aftercare, and what it costs.

  5. 05

laser hair removal in [city] reviews

    Testing: Reviews

The word reviews pulls the answer toward review platforms and aggregators rather than the clinic's own site. Where the clinic is listed and how recent its reviews are decides this one.

  6. 06

    med spa near me [city]

    Testing: Proximity

Near me questions lean on map and profile data: Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Maps. A clinic with an inconsistent address across those tends to drop out here first.

  7. 07

is there a good med spa in [city] for first-time Botox

    Testing: Reassurance

A nervous first-time buyer. The answer favours clinics with plain language content that answers the worry, not the ones with the glossiest photography.

  8. 08

best microneedling or Morpheus8 in [city]

    Testing: Device and brand

Names a branded device. Answer engines match on the exact device name, so a clinic that owns the machine but never writes the brand name on the site is invisible for it.

  9. 09

medical weight loss clinic in [city]

    Testing: Adjacent service

A different buyer arriving at the same clinic. Many med spas offer this and never give it a page, which hands the answer to a clinic that did.

  10. 10

top rated aesthetics clinic in [city]

    Testing: Category synonym

Says aesthetics clinic rather than med spa. It tests whether the clinic is understood by the category words patients use, not only by the one on its own signage.

Run it yourself

How to use this in ten minutes.

Or have us run it: what the free check includes

  1. 01Open ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode in a fresh logged-out window. Logged in, you get answers shaped by your own history, and your clinic will look better placed than it is.
  2. 02Swap your city into all ten questions and ask them one at a time. Screenshot each answer with the date visible.
  3. 03Count the answers your clinic is named in, out of thirty. That number is your baseline, and it is the only one worth comparing against next month.
  4. 04For each question you lose, read who won it and open their page. The reason is almost always visible: they published the price, the device name, or the treatment page you do not have.

Questions

What people ask about this data.

Where does this data come from?
From our own screening. We open med spa websites one by one and record three mechanical checks, and we ask Google AI Mode the same question in each city from a fresh logged-out session. So far that is 1,531 websites in 245 cities and 198 captured answers. Nothing is bought, licensed or estimated.
Can I cite these numbers?
Yes, free of charge. Name KKV Labs as the source and link to the report page so your reader can see the date and the method. If you want the city table as a file, email us and we will send it.
Is a clinic named in the answer better than one that is not?
No, and we do not say that anywhere. The lists are a dated snapshot of what one AI answer said on one day. They are not rankings, not endorsements, and not a judgement about any clinic's work.
How often is this updated?
We re-run the checks as we screen new markets and re-check old ones. Every figure on the reports is computed from the data file at build time, so the page updates the moment the file does, and every AI answer carries the date it was captured.
Why only med spas?
Because that is where we have enough data to say anything honest. We do the same work for law firms, dentists, chiropractors, HVAC companies and other local businesses, but we will not publish an index for an industry until we have screened enough of it.

Or we can run all ten for your city.

We run these 10 questions for your service and your city through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode and send you the dated screenshots: who is named today, and whether the answer is still open. No call required.
