What the three answers mean

  • GREEN 59 of 60 Several businesses named, none called the best. The door is open.
  • YELLOW 1 of 60 Several named, but the answer puts one of them ahead.
  • RED 0 of 60 One business only, or nobody named. The hardest kind of market.

What we actually do

AI names the businesses it can read, verify and trust.

Three jobs. We do all three, every month.

  • 01

    AI can read you

Your site says what you do, where, and for how much.

    • One page per job and service area
    • Price ranges and financing in plain text
    • Licence, insurance and warranty on the page
  • 02

    AI can verify you

The same facts everywhere AI checks.

    • Google Business Profile and Bing Places
    • BBB, Yelp, Angi and Nextdoor
    • Your state licence lookup
  • 03

    AI trusts you

Proof that real homeowners chose you.

    • Reviews that name the job and the town
    • Photos of finished roofs, labelled
    • Manufacturer certifications listed

A door knocker and a yard sign work on the street you are already standing in. An AI answer is written before anybody knocks, out of your website, your listings and the words inside your reviews. No canvassing budget changes what it says about you.

Questions

What owners ask before they start.

How is a roofing AI visibility agency different from a normal marketing agency?
A traditional agency sells ads and shared leads, and reports a cost per lead at the end of the month. We sell one measurable position: your company recommended in the AI answer for 5 agreed homeowner questions. If it is not recommended for 3 of the 5 by day 90, you get every dollar back.
What does a roofing AI visibility agency cost?
Roofing retainers commonly run several thousand dollars a month, usually with an ad budget and a per lead fee on top. We charge $499 a month with a 3-month minimum, then month to month, cancel anytime. No setup fee, no ad spend, no lead fees, nothing sold separately.
Is roofing SEO worth it in 2026?
Yes, and the target has moved. Roofing SEO aims at a link and a map pack slot, and a growing share of homeowners never see either because an assistant answered them in a paragraph first. The work overlaps: cost ranges, a real service area, clear pages per roof type and fresh reviews help both. We aim it at the written answer and measure whether you get named.
What exactly do you guarantee?
5 homeowner questions for your services and city, agreed in writing at kickoff. By day 90 your company has to be recommended (top 3) for at least 3 of the 5 on ChatGPT or Google AI Mode. If we miss, you get every dollar back, or we keep working free until it does (your choice). You keep everything we built.
Do we have to publish prices?
Ranges, not a fixed price list. How much does a new roof cost in my city is one of the most asked questions there is, and an assistant answers it from pages that state numbers. A range per square with a sentence about what moves it is honest and enough. A page that says call for pricing gives the answer nothing to repeat.
We buy leads today. How is this different?
A bought lead is a name you share with whoever else bought it, and it stops the day you stop paying. A place in the answer is a position you hold, built out of pages and profiles you own, and it keeps working between campaigns. We do not sell leads and we do not resell your enquiries to anyone.
Do you work with more than one roofer in a city?
No. One roofing company per city. The first to sign locks it and we stop pitching that market. If a competitor signed first, we tell you straight away rather than take the engagement.
What do you need from us?
About an hour at kickoff, access to your Google Business Profile and website, your licence and insurance details as you hold them, your service area, your price ranges and warranty terms, and the review kit sent to recent completed jobs. We draft everything else.

Ten questions

What roofers ask about AI search, answered with our own numbers.

Every answer below uses only figures from our own screening: the 60 city answers captured September 10, 2026 and the 520 roofing homepages read September 11, 2026. Where we did not measure something, the answer says so instead of guessing.

Are homeowners really using AI to find roofers?
We do not track how many homeowners use AI. We can show what AI does when it is asked. We asked Google AI Mode "best roofer in [city]" in 60 US cities. Every city came back with real company names, and the answer named 4.6 roofing companies in the average city. If AI had nothing to say about roofers, those lists would be empty. They are not.
My roofing company has great Google reviews. Is that enough?
Reviews help, but they are not the whole story. Only 22% of the 520 roofing homepages we read show a review count a reader can see on the page itself, 116 sites. The companies AI named show one more often than everyone else, 26% against 21%. Put your review count on your own homepage in plain text, not only on Google.
Does storm season change who AI names?
We do not have before and after storm season numbers yet. Here is what we do know today: 65% of the 520 roofing homepages we read already talk about storm or hail damage, 338 sites. Most roofers already cover it. If your storm page is thin or missing, you are behind most of the market, not ahead of it. We will re-check this after the next storm season and log any change in the update list on the index.
Does ChatGPT replace Google for finding a roofer?
We only tested Google AI Mode, so we cannot answer for ChatGPT directly. Here is what we can say. When we asked that engine "best roofer in [city]" in 60 cities, it answered with real company names every time, not just blue links. And in our separate 20 answer citation study, 100% of answers pointed back at the company's own website. Whichever tool a homeowner uses, your own site is what gets read.
Do I need a website to be named by AI?
Our numbers point one way. In our 20 answer citation study, every single answer, 100% of them, cited the roofing company's own website. Nothing else came close: a Google Business Profile was cited in 95% of answers and Yelp in 35%. If your business has no website, you are missing the one thing every answer we captured used.
Can I pay to show up in an AI answer?
We did not test paid placement, and nothing in our data shows a paid way into an answer. What our data shows is a free floor you can build instead. 85% of the 520 roofing homepages carry some structured data, but only 38% say plainly in code that this is a roofing contractor, 199 sites. Closing that gap costs code time, not a fee to anyone.
Where is the easiest win on my own site?
Two small things the named companies do more often. They run Google Tag Manager, 58% against 49% for everyone else, so they can actually see what their site does. And they show a current footer year, 46% against 40%. Neither one makes AI name you on its own. Both are checkable in a minute and both say the site is looked after.
How can a roofer earn links with original research?
Publish a real number nobody else has, with a date on it. That is what this index is: 60 cities, the companies named in each one, and the date we asked. No other roofing source we found publishes a per city dataset or a citation breakdown. A number like 100% of answers citing the roofer's own site, or 59 of 60 cities where no single company is ahead, is concrete and dated, so another writer can quote it and link back.
What is FAQ schema, and is it worth adding?
FAQ schema is code that tells a machine "this block is a question and this is its answer". Only 15% of the 520 roofing homepages we read carry it, 80 sites, even though 48% already have an FAQ a visitor can read, 250 sites. That gap, an FAQ that exists but is not marked up, is common and cheap to close. We cannot promise a rank change. It is one more clear signal for AI to read.
How long does this take for a roofing contractor?
We do not measure how long a fix takes to show up in an answer. Our study is one dated snapshot, not a before and after test. What it does show is how small the gap usually is. Only 38% of the 520 homepages we read use roofing contractor schema, and that is normally a small code change, not a rebuild. We re-screen this dataset and log any movement in the update list, which is the closest thing to a timeline we can honestly give.
