Why a med spa can win this.
Every number here is counted from our own files when this page is built, or linked to where it came from.
The list is short, and in most towns it is still open. In our 245 city run on 8 September 2026, 218 cities named between 3 and 5 clinics, and the longest list in any city was 7. No city came back blank. In 221 of those 245 cities, no single clinic was held up as the best one. And no clinic name shows up in more than 6 of the 245 cities, so each town has its own list. Outside the answer, BrightLocal's 2026 consumer survey found that use of ChatGPT and other AI tools for local recommendations rose from 6% to 45% in one year.
Then we read 1,352 med spa home pages by machine on 10 September 2026. 341 of them belonged to clinics AI named and 1,011 did not. The usual website checklist does not split those two groups apart. Board certified shows on 16% of the named clinics and on 19% of the rest. A named medical director shows on 7% against 11%, and a price shows on 40% against 40%. Where the named clinics do run ahead is in how much of the work the site spells out. The middle named site lists 9 treatments against 7, and runs 987 words against 869. That is a same day count of what two groups of med spa sites carry, not proof that one thing causes the other.
The plan
Ten med spa jobs, in order.
One job a week for ten weeks. Each one says what to do on your clinic's site or listings, and how to tell it worked.
- 01
Ask all ten patient questions in your own city, not just one
Open ChatGPT in a window where you are not signed in. Ask the ten questions on our med spa question list: best med spa, where to get Botox, how much Botox costs, best place for lip filler, laser hair removal reviews, med spa near me, a good clinic for first-time Botox, best microneedling or Morpheus8, medical weight loss clinic, and top rated aesthetics clinic. Seven of those ten name a treatment, which is why one search tells you almost nothing. Put your city in each one and paste every answer into one dated file.
How to check it workedYou hold ten dated answers for your own city, in one file.
- 02
Write down who gets named for each question, one list per question
Do not score yourself out of one. Score yourself out of ten, because these are ten separate contests with ten separate winners. A clinic can be named for best med spa and be missing from the lip filler answer in the same town. Finding those gaps is the whole job, and you cannot see them from one search.
How to check it workedYou can say which of the ten questions you lose and which you win.
- 03
Make sure the Google profile the answer reads is yours and is right
A Google profile or Maps link was cited in 21 of the 21 med spa answers we captured on 15 September 2026. That is 100%, more than any other source in the study. Claim the listing, set the main category to medical spa, add real photos of the treatment rooms, and fix the hours. Keep the clinic name, the street and the phone number letter for letter the same as they are on your own site.
How to check it workedYour name, street and phone read the same on Google and on your own site.
- 04
Claim your Yelp page even though you will never pay Yelp a cent
Yelp turned up in 9 of those same 21 answers, which is 42.9%. Yet only 8% of the 1,352 med spa home pages we read link to Yelp at all. Claim the free listing, fix the treatment list and the hours on it, and then leave it alone. You are not buying ads here. You are making sure the page the answer already reads is correct.
How to check it workedYou own the Yelp login and the hours there match the hours on your door.
- 05
Check that a machine can open your med spa site at all
We tried to read 1,531 med spa sites and 179 of them, 12%, did not answer or blocked our crawler. If a machine cannot open your homepage, good writing on it cannot help you. Ask whoever hosts the site to let the known search and AI crawlers through. Then test the homepage again from a browser you have never used.
How to check it workedA fresh browser with no login loads your homepage in under 5 seconds.
- 06
List every treatment you really do, in words, on the homepage
The middle named clinic lists 9 treatments on its homepage and the middle unnamed clinic lists 7. This is the cheapest gap on the page to close. Write them out in text: Botox, filler, microneedling, chemical peel, laser hair removal, body contouring, whatever is true for your clinic. Do not hide them inside a drop-down or a picture slider, and word each one the way a patient says it.
How to check it workedYou count 9 or more treatments in plain text on the homepage.
- 07
Ask your last twenty patients for a review that names the treatment
Ask by text, one patient at a time, over two weeks. Say the treatment in your ask so she says it back: lip filler, Morpheus8, laser hair removal. A review that names the treatment gives a treatment answer something to quote. Never post her name, photo or story without written consent, and never put a care detail in a reply, because health privacy law can apply to what a clinic says about a patient. Our own captures carry no review counts, so treat this step as reasoning, not as something we measured.
How to check it workedTen new reviews landed and each one names a treatment.
- 08
Put your injectors on the site by name and license, and then stop
Name each injector and the license each one holds, then add nothing else, because our numbers say badges do not split the clinics AI names from the rest. Board certified runs at 16% on named clinics against 19% on the others. An MD or DO on the page runs 16% against 18%, and any provider credential at all runs 48% against 51%. Write the names because a nervous patient wants them, not because a badge will move the answer.
How to check it workedEach injector is named once, with a license, and no new badge went up.
- 09
Link Instagram, Facebook and your Google Maps pin from the homepage
These three run the other way from the badges in step 8. Instagram is linked from 94% of the named clinics against 86% of the rest. Facebook runs 95% against 87%, and a Google Maps link runs 58% against 50%. They are free and take about ten minutes, and 48% of the med spa home pages we read still do not link the Maps pin.
How to check it workedAll 3 links sit in the footer and every one of them opens.
- 10
Ask the same ten questions again in 30 days and count your score
Use the same window, the same ten questions, the same city and no login. Count how many of the ten name your clinic. Do it again at day 60 and day 90, so you end the quarter with 30 answers and can see which treatment answers moved. Our own readings are from one day each, so your file will be the only record for your town.
How to check it workedThree dated files exist and your score out of ten has a trend.
Our own numbers on this page: 245 US cities asked "best med spa in [city]" in Google AI Mode on 8 September 2026; 1,352 med spa home pages read by machine on 10 September 2026, out of 1,531 we tried; and a separate study of 21 city answers captured on 15 September 2026 that recorded every link the answer pointed at. Every figure above is counted from those files when this page is built. Anything from outside our own work is named where it is used, and linked where the page allows it. Published by KKV Labs LLC.

What the three answers mean
- GREEN221 of 245Several businesses named, none called the best. The door is open.
- YELLOW24 of 245Several named, but the answer puts one of them ahead.
- RED0 of 245One business only, or nobody named. The hardest kind of market.
